Preschool

Etz Chaim Preschool offers children a loving and nurturing environment where secular themes are interwoven with the teaching and celebration of Shabbat, Jewish holidays and Jewish values.

The Preschool provides an optimum setting for intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual development through exploration, creativity and problem solving.  The children engage in hands-on activities which involve touching, tasting, smelling, listening, seeing and doing.

Teachers plan monthly units around such topics as community helpers, seasons, my senses, my family, and others.  Shabbat is celebrated every Friday with special activities, music, candlelighting, wine (grape juice), challah and prayers.

The Preschool Parents Club provides special programs and the opportunity for parents to meet other parents.

As children attend Etz Chaim Preschool, the synagogue becomes a very special place because the halls, the classrooms, the sanctuary, and the chapel become so familiar.  Together, we will begin to teach them the joy of Judaism at a very young age.
