Our B’Yachad program for 8^th and 9^th graders is part fun, part Jewish education, and all about building community. Teens gather with Rabbi Adler six times over the course of the school year to experience ways to connect them to Judaism and each other.  Things are still in the works, but for now, teens can expect a cooking class, movie night, and all sorts of fun. We’re open to suggestions for activities as well as volunteers to drive and/or chaperone. We’re very excited about this opportunity for all who choose to participate!

Our B’Yachad program for 8th and 9th grades offers a six-session program throughout the year, taught by Rabbi Dan Dorsch and Rabbi Jonathon Adler. The content of the sessions will include the six big events in Jewish history and Jewish literature.

Our students in 11^th and 12^th grades will continue their connections to each other and to our Rabbi for Senior Seminar, which will meet three times a year. We’ll begin with a Shabbat dinner at the home of Rabbi and Amy Dorsch.  A mid-year session will focus on antisemitism on college campuses featuring Rabbi Larry Sernovitz from Hillels of Georgia. We’ll wrap up the year with a civil rights trip to Alabama. This is a perfect way to learn and celebrate the end of their high school years at Etz Chaim.

Our students in the 11th and 12th grades join with the USYers during a few “Wacky Wednesdays” throughout the year to discuss leadership, anti-Semitism on college campuses and maintaining a Jewish connection as they leave home and begin the next step in their journey.
