Congregation Etz Chaim and the Jewish Educators Assembly Honor Our Teachers
This year at the JEA (Jewish Educators Assembly) and JYDA (Jewish Youth Directors Assembly) virtual conference at the January 24 (virtual) evening event, Congregation Etz Chaim is delighted to honor the following teachers:
Lauren Chernau has been our lead two-year-old teacher in Etz Chaim Preschool for the past 15 years. Lauren is a mentor to our entire faculty and shares her gifts of knowledge with parents and colleagues alike. 
Elaine Schwartz has played many roles at Etz Chaim’s Religious School for 10 years. She has served as program coordinator and currently teaches our 6th grade class. Elaine brings her love of Judaism and education to every class she teaches.
