When Maxine and Jonathan Schein moved to Atlanta more than 20 years ago, they didn’t reveal much about their busy volunteer life back in New Jersey. After all, the Scheins were near retirement and thought it might be nice to kick back a bit. Chanukah/Christmas Initiative:  Hate has No Home Here!

Rabbi Albert Slomovitz and Father Ray of The Catholic Church of St. Ann have started a Chanukah/Christmas initiative.  With every Christmas tree St. Ann's sells, they are giving a Star of David ornament to the family so that they can hang it on their tree.  The hope from both faith leaders is to promote understanding and education.
